I don't mind shaky cameras in some action film scenes, but when it's done constantly it drives me nuts. We're observing the action, not participating.

I think Reynolds is a great actor if he is given the right role. I hope this one is good, but some of it looks silly.
Did the primary buffer panel just fall off my gorram ship for no apparent reason?!

Saw this in the theatre and was left wondering...

    Spoiler:
...is it written in his contract that Denzel must die at the end of every movie he makes now?! He's getting to be the American Sean Bean!

Watched and while I enjoyed it (would also give it a 3.5), it's something I just don't feel the need to watch again, am not super smart or anything but I also thought it was predictable and was able to tell right off the bat who was gonna double cross who. The love story in this was pretty bad as well I thought it should've been just left out, imo. Am not a Reynolds fan as well but he was ok in this, but Denzel is the man, always excellent, main reason I kept watching was for his always top notch performances. Lastly, shaky cam does not bother me that much, I also enjoy the Bourne movies but thought that Safe House was not on the same level--Bourne flicks are just much better, imho, haven't grown tired of them yet after repeat viewings over the years.

All in all, have seen much worse, Safe House was a solid rental.

    Edit: bad typos

Saw this in the theater and I was a bit tipsy, didn't really care for it. So I've decided to rent it and watch it sober and well I still don't care for it. The non-stop shaky cam was awful and the story was predictable that you can figure out who the real bad guy is in the movie. It's funny because I read that interview that Luke did with the writer of this movie and the dude actually said he wrote an "original" action script. I laughed my ass off when I read that.

Did anyone spot Joel Kinnaman in the film?

The movie is good, but there is a lot about CIA that are much better.
I don´t like the look, the photography on this movie. There is NOTHING natural and I´m not talking only about the cameras.
I think it is the pos-production that gives this horrible visual to the movie.
