And this one will have lossless audio*, I'm sure...

Universal: trolling the blu-ray format since 2008.

*unlike the original, which has a lossy DTS track. Oh, and a 2.0 DTS-HD MA track on the making of documentary.

Anne-Marie Sakowitz: No, they all share one.

While the story for this one isn't that good, I really enjoyed the music and was glad to see Elwood on the big screen again, so I look forward to this release.

Hmm, weird! Universal Europe released this on the same day as the original classic. Why would they delay the domestic release?
Anyway, as far as "sequels with a bad reputation" go, I still like this one. Excellent soundtrack, fun quips ("Sline booked us as a bluegrass band!"), fun cameos (B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Clarence Clemons and many more) and an overall enjoyable vibe. Sure, not on a par with The Blues Brothers, but then again ... what movie is?

Wonder why they didn't call it The Blues Brothers 2000, though.

I thought this one was quite good, with a similar feel to the original. The music was also spectacular. When my buddies and I saw this one, we laughed a lot at the ridiculous police car pile-up. This is definitely an enjoyable sequel.

I enjoyed Blues Brothers 2000 almost as much as the Original. I will be adding this to my collection.

PG-13? May be a bit too clean for me.
