'The Order (2001)' - High-Def Digest Review
Luke has just reviewed 'The Order (2001)' (the JCVD flick). He says this fails as both an action movie and an adventure film. The video and audio qualities are decent, but each features a few flaws. Aside from the void of special features, JCVD fans will be more than
satisfied with this one. Give it a rent.

I am going to be honest with all of you. I am a huge Van Damme fan, I mean huge. I am old enough to remember the Bloodsport days. While I can appreciate some of his DTV movies like Replicant.........This movie is really bad. I mean really bad.
I will buy it anyways, because I have to collect all his shit. Especially on blu ray. I am a very sick individual. -

The film was made in 2001, but you mention the 3.5 floppy disc; so what year the does the film take place in? 3.5 floppies were in demand around 2001, etc...

As a Mac user, by 2001, the floppy was dead in my house.
Now, the awesome IOMEGA zip disk/drive on the other hand...
As for the review, I have to say I'm surprised at the video score. Sony usually supplies Image with quality stuff. Not this time I guess. Oh well, the movie is awful...Steve Zissou: Anne-Marie, do all the interns get Glocks?
Anne-Marie Sakowitz: No, they all share one. -

Shame on you. If you were a REAL Jean Claude fan, like myself, you'd realize he really hit the scene with No Retreat No Surrender LOL

I liked The Quest too...probably the last of the silly VD movies I liked.

I love me some JCVD (the missus says I have a man crush on him - It's true ... lol ) but man I can't stand The Order. Next to Cyborg (I know, sacrilege), The Order has gotta be JCVD's worst flick to date. I'd rather take two helpings of Universal Soldier 2 than watch this one again.
Like everybody else I'm just waiting for that Hard Target DC blu ray (if it even exists anymore) and of course, No Retreat, No Surrender. Classic JCVD cheese right there. Also gotta get Double Team, Legionaire, and Knockoff on BD before we all grow old and die.
*By the way, Hard Target is available for streaming on Netflix in HD. I watched it maybe a month ago and it looked pretty good.I don't care what the white mon say, Santa Clause was a black mon.
