The fact that you readily disregard the original Wicker Man just because of this ruins any credibility you may have had. Also, it was a pretty asinine thing to spoil the ending, whether the movie is good or not. The fact that you did this, and another member of the site's staff condones it, is really really turning me off to this site. Horrible.

I agree completely. The quality of this review is abysmal (perhaps even more abysmal than "The Wicker Tree" itself). Reviewing this movie without the context of the original film is about as amateurish as it gets.

Wow, I haven't felt the need to log in to the site in ages, but after reading this completely worthless review, I couldn't resist. I don't know where to start....the fact that you haven't seen the original, that you somehow felt it was trying to be a serious horror film, or that you spoiled the ending.....I remember when this site had top notch reviewers, now I guess you'll just bring anyone on board.

It seems the reviewer was pissed off because the film didn't turn out to be what he expected. But that's not the film's fault. I found it to be a very effective comic piece (yes, intentionally) with touches of horror. The complaint about there not being many wicker trees in it is bizarre. I'm guessing that if he does see the original he will complain that there aren't many wicker men in it. Good grief!
