ANOTHER ONE?! Can they at least just end the war with this one?

The third one was terrible. Could've been a million times better, but they just made it dumb. I hope they come back to their senses with the fourth one.

Has this franchise really been that lucrative to spawn three direct to video sequels?

    Definite headscratcher this one.

Well, at least it looking "budget" shouldn't be that much of an issue. Animation tends to scale better.

At least it was back to being a satire on war compared to the second movie.

The animated Roughnecks stuff from a decade ago was fun. Hopefully, this can be more or the same with improved animation.

And I agree, the other two sequels stunk.

I like the 3rd one. Never saw the 2nd one. Anyway this new one sure sold out fast. I was there right when the store opened and there were none of the shelf. Good thing I ordered it a week ahead for store pickup, so I have it in my car right now.

Played this new one last night: It's nothing special. Worth what I paid though, and has it's moment.

Blu-ray Starship Troopers: Invasion: Did Sony use a bad master to press the BluRay?

Starship Troopers: Invasion: Did Sony use a bad master to press the BluRay?

I have to state the sound editing on my system was "FLAT" with little dynamic range, no stereo separation, or use of the 5.1 setup, when a space ship going flying through a 'cloud' there is no right to left effect ... Did Sony use a bad master to press the BluRay.. which has been known to happen in the past with movies releases.

Now on the animation / motion capture over all it was above average my only grip here is... for a bunch of 'working grunts' the skin was too smooth.. 'OR' again did Sony use a bad master to press the BluRay, and filtered out the grain/smoothed out rough edges as during the interview extra the director and animator were proud of the work they did adding, dust, lens flairs, rough edges to the work..

Because of both the "Flat" sound and the loss of the the detail in the images make me feel that the wrong master was used on the BluRay release!
As in a few of the computer monitors seen in "the making of" the images were sharper and had more detail then the same image used during the movie on the disc!!

Got this in from Netflix a few days ago but probably won't be able to check it out until the weekend at the latest.
