10th Anniversary Edition? I wonder if they will do something special to mark the occasion. As far as I'm concerned, what's currently listed was also on the original DVD. Would be very disappointing.
But, it's Treasure Planet!!! One of the most visually arresting Disney's ever. Very underrated, very good. Can't wait. I love, love, love that movie. -

I wish they would release Mulan, Peter Pan, and a billion others before they went to this thing.

pan is going to be a diamond/platinum/unobtanium release, so it has to wait its turn in the vault.
aladdin was in that league of titles, but poor sales have supposedly made it a regular release when it happens, probably with the sequels getting the 2 films on one blu-ray and 2 bonus dvd treatment we see so often right now. i mention that, because mulan is not considered higher on the tier than aladdin.Nate Boss

Home on the Range...that's going to be a tough buy for Disney Animated Blu-Rays completionists like me. lol.
I wasn't that blown away by Treasure Planet either. I much prefer "Titan A.E." -

Yeah, I actually haven't seen Home on the Range yet either. It's just going to be a tough blind buy for me based on the trailer, and the fact that Roseanne is one of the voice actors. lol. I'll cross my fingers for it to be good.
As far as Treasure Planet goes, I know I've seen it but I can't remember a damn thing about it. All I remember is thinking the visuals were much better than the plot. It just seemed like a very forgettable movie. -

You guys are not missing anything by not watching HOTR,imo. Probably the worst Disney animated flick I have ever seen.

Home on the Range was a little mediocre, indeed. But Treasure Planet is fantastic! I can't recommend it enough. It's worthy of a re-examination and it should never have flopped in the first place.

I'm just waiting for August. It's going to be a really good month for Disney animated titles.

Why is "Home On the Range" getting a release on Blu-ray before "Lilo and Stitch" for crying out loud?! After all, I've heard "Lilo and Stitch"'s success is the only reason that "Home On the Range" hit theaters.
HD DVD, the best in extras!
My HD DVD list: "Clerks 2", "The World's Fastest Indian", "The Thing", "V For Vendetta", "Enter the Dragon" and "Casablanca".
My Blu-ray list: "Warriors Of Heaven and Earth", "Curse Of the Golden Flower", "Kung Fu Hustle", Weeds Season 2, "Rent", "Tekkonkinkreet",
"Lives Of Others", "Black Book", "Hairspray", "Kingdom Of Heaven: Director's Cut", Sanctuary S1, "Chungking Express", "Videodrome", "Contact", "Paprika". -

Home on the Range is ok. Cuba Gooding Jr is actually pretty funny. Still, if I bought this I wouldn't pay more than $10 for it.
I watched Treasure Planet about a month ago on DVD (I forgot I owned it). It's kinda forgettable but as I was watching it I was thinking even though it's animated it moves like a Pirates of the Carribean movie. Imagine my surprise when I watch the end credits and notice the writers were Ted Elliot and Terry Rossio, writers of all 4 Pirates movies.I don't care what the white mon say, Santa Clause was a black mon.

I, for one, am glad they are releasing these now, even if HOTR sucks and TP is meh.
They release their major titles that everyone will buy at a steady, strategic pace -- surprisingly they have even stepped those up a bit, what with Cinderella, Rescuers, Pocahontas, Aristocats, and (supposedly) Aladdin all coming out in rapid succession (not to mention Nemo and more Ghibli titles)... And now they are beginning to sprinkle in these lesser titles. Realistically, they will never step up the pace of the big titles much more than they have now -- they have a strategy and it involves milking each one for all it's worth, taking time to make each one of highest possible quality, and the whole vault cycling thing.
So if they DIDN'T take the time to release the "stinkers" now, in between the cracks, then imagine a possible day when Blu-ray is on the decline, and things like HOTR, TP, and Black Cauldron (Disney, do this one next?) never made the market... That would be a sad day for completists, of which I aim to be one.Pan 65" Plasma TC-P65V10 / Onk 7.1 TX-SR607 / Onk DV-HD805 / Pan DMP-BD60 / Tosh XD-E500
