Why do you want two center channels anyway?

So audio coming out the center channel sounds like it's coming from the screen, like it's supposed to, instead of below the screen.
As you know, when you go to a movie theater, they have the center channel behind the screen shooting through it, not below the screen. But that is impossible to do with a TV, so I figure the next best thing is to have a speaker above the TV and a speaker below the TV to give the illusion that the sound is coming from the screen.
It's really not a big deal. I don't notice it 99% of the time, but I'm always trying to think of ways to make my sound system better. Being a sound engineer, I'm really picky about audio quality and speaker placement. -

I am truthfully wanting better support for height speakers, and maybe take it a step futher. Like, if there are like 3 feet or more difference between two center speakers, I would like some height stuff in it. Truthfully, I like what they are doing with 9.1 and 11.1 systems, but I always felt that a ceiling and floor speaker would really help with sound imersion.
But yeah, if you add a second center, let us know how it sounds. With me, though, if I were to add additonal speakers, I would want them encoded differently to really bring out the sound imersion. -

I went with the new single-disk edition. 5 hours of bonus content and 2 all-new documentaries. Standard blu case.

I had purchased the boxset edition earlier but the unopened item will be returned now.Last edited by cupboy; 03-27-2012 at 06:49 PM.

???? According to Michael's review, disc one has only audio commentary and some special features 12-30 minutes each, mostly in SD. The nearly 5 hour "The Warner Bros. Story" special feature is on the 2nd BD, which isn't included in the single disc edition. Well, I have the boxed 3 disc Limited Edition on the way regardless.

Apparently Target has a single disc exclusive with only disc 1 from this set. $14.99 as of this posting. Someone on Amazon has the nerve to list it for $49.99. Unreal.

Watched this last year. I stated it was my favorite movie of all time and I'll state it again. Just amazing. I really love this film. The transfer is really good. The facial expressions Bogart and Bergman display should be taught in acting school. Anyways, I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did...great film!

Since my HD-DVD has internal disc rot, I can't wait to get this set, once I can find it on the cheap.
It's funny, the day I get enough points on WBInsider to get the old release, they pull it. lolSpoiler:
