Default 'Cars' -- pre-release buzz

It looks like 'Cars' is finally getting a new date on Blu-ray:

http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/cars.html

It's revving up for a November 6 arrival, and looks to be quite a disc with all of the extras of the standard-def DVD version, plus BD-Java exclusives and a bonus deleted scene.

Awesome! I like how they changed up the cover art a little bit as well.

But, in the post, it says you've added "Cars" to the "release dates pending" section of HD-DVD, not Blu-Ray

I will definaltey be picking this up. My major at school is Computer animatioon so i pick up any ainmated movie on blu-ray. I liked Cars but its not Pixars best. This is going to be a big release. by the way how would everyone rank the pixar movies? my list is from best to worst(no pixar is awful but a couple were just merely averasge)

Toy Story:10/10
Finding Nemo:10/10
Ratatoullie:10/10
The Incredibles:9/10
Mosters Inc.:9/10
Cars:7.5/10
Toy Story 2:7/10
A Bugs Life:7/10

it was hard to rank Toy Story 2, and A bugs life they are equle to me.

I'd say my favorite Pixar movie is Monsters Inc.

But I haven't seen Ratatoullie yet or Cars, which I been meaning too.

If they're equal, why do they have different scores?

My favorite would be Finding Nemo... a movie my 3 year old nephew and I can enjoy equally.

Cool. This was another great Pixar movie. I will pick this one up. I REALLY want Finding Nemo now though too. I can't really see myself buying the Toy Story movie ever though, they are just a tad too childish for me now at 23 years old. Ratatoille is one I think I will buy when it comes out as it's reviews have been stellar.

Good news indeed. I would bet that Ratatooe will be released on dvd near or on the same date as Cars. Then Disney will release Ratatooe on BD when Wall-E either comes out in theaters or on the dvd release.

...And the Rotten Tomatoes award for the most amount of typos in one post goes to StoogeFan for this masterpiece.

I would rate these films in the following order (from best to average):
  • The Incredibles - for action for adults as well as kids
  • Finding Nemo - excellent family entertainment, love the adult humour
  • Toy Story 2 (yes, I liked the sequel better!) - again, enough grown up humour to keep adults amused as well
  • Toy Story - same comment and such a pioneering file, it has to be in everyone's top 5 animated films
  • Monsters Inc. - great to look at, kids love it but not as worthy of repeat viewings from an adult perspective IMHO
  • Cars - only watched half of this, don't think it has as much to offer adults; my nieces were not blown away by it either
  • A Bugs Life - enjoyed it but it's not one of Pixar's best
  • Ratatouille - haven't seen it - is it out in Europe yet?

That's cool, though Cars is by far my least favorite Pixar animation. Toy Story, Toy Story II, The Incredibles and Finding Nemo are absolute classics, with Monsters Inc not far behind. A Bug's Life is too, while not on par with the best Pixar movies, still more enjoyable than Cars.

Hopefully this will be great demo material, the DVD version of Cars wasn't that good. Much weaker than couple of years older The Incredibles. This is a great looking movie and deserves a lot better.
