Oh my god. This is a dream come true! God I hope this is a proper remaster and it also gets a UK release, or is region free! Anyone know who is doing this or any of the specs etc?
Ugh, just read this:
http://doubleosection.blogspot.com/2...o-blu-ray.htmlIn 2012, Acorn will release the classic 1979 BBC miniseries version of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, starring the incomparable Alec Guinness, on Blu-ray in the USA. It will mark the seminal John le Carré adaptation's debut in the high-def format. Not only that, but it will also include a brand new interview with director John Irvin. This Blu-ray release will stick to the six-part version of the series that American viewers are familiar with (and which Acorn reckon works better... and they may have a point there), but there's a good possibility that the cut scenes from the longer UK version will be included as bonus material, affording fans the vest of both worlds. Full details will come in the New Year, but this is definitely a release to be excited about!
FAIL! They should have gone with the uncut UK version, what a stupid thing to do.
