Default Kids are Quick to Adopt Digital Media - Majority of Purchases are Still Physical

A recent study shows that digital acceptance is growing, but not there yet.

Lower the price drastically, I'll go digital. If not, disc is where I stay. A digital download should always be cheaper than the disc.

Kids age 2-14 huh? Any possibility that lack of a credit card might be a factor here?
    RIP Kosty you are missed.

Agree, not sure how the "study" is useful for this age group. Perhaps if the report detailed how those kids are influencers in a family's decision to purchase physical vs. digital media, then that at least would provide better forecasting of purchasing trends in their later adult life.

What it does indicate is that physical media is still here to stay and won't be going away anytime soon. But we knew that already, right?

I'd guess 100% of that 21% digital comes from iTunes gift cards.
