I'm extremely familiar with the Doors discography, I've seen the Oliver Stone movie a dozen times, I've read every book about Morrison and the Doors I could get my hands on (my favorites are No One Here Gets Out Alive! by Jerry Hopkins - have an autographed copy - and Riders On The Storm by John Densmore), I've owned VHS copies of two of their music video compilation/documentary things.

Yes, I will buy this.

What did you think of When You're Strange: A Film About the Doors? Personally, I got a kick out of the footage and watching Morrison interact with people. But it was a little unfocused and the narration was not really saying anything new or even comprehensive. I still own the blu ray though cause the music and footage are pretty cool.

I've never seen it! I will have to keep an eye out for it, since obviously I love anything to do with the Doors.

I would say Pink Floyd is my favorite overall band from a musical standpoint, but the Doors are a close second, and their whole style, their story, is just way, way cooler.
