Well I just got mine from Amazon and put on FOTR. I don't know if it's my tv or player or my eyes but I just don't see any green tinting at all. I am very happy about that so no complaints from me about the box set except for having the extras not in HD. They could really use the upgrade too.

You know you should change "you stop noticing" to "I stop noticing". Because although *you* may have stopped noticing the green tint I can assure that *I* notice it right to the very end of the film. In fact the odd teal sky and off-putting saturation issues stand out to me particularly in the last act of the film.

Frankly on a movie that's grossed over a BILLION dollars theatrically alone we certainly should be a bit more demanding than "After about 5 minutes you top noticing".

So be it. I fancy watching it again and not being distracted by it, so I'm going to do that now and then go and enjoy the New Year

My suspicions is that we might see BD75's in the near future and they will 'quietly' fix the green tint issue as the also release a box set where the whole movie fits on one disc.

Personally, I really don't see that happening. The extended editions have always had the intermission in the middle and I don't see any valid reason for changing it.

Yeah I agree, I still haven't bought it but I think I may just have to because it's probably the only version we'll get.

I'm disappointed that the 2 releases I was looking forward to most have color correction and "noooooooooooooooooo" .....
