I`m really curious to see how these new transfers will look.

I just caught Pulp Fiction on HDNet Movies and that transfer looked spectacular, even via a compressed satellite signal (sometimes Dish Network really impresses me). I wonder if it is the same one.

Review is up at the beaver site. Strong PQ & (especially) AQ reported. It also has a wealth of extras, an hour of extra material in HD. From looking at the screencaps, there seems to be a marginal difference between the three Blu-Ray's (this one, the French and the Hong Kong release).
I don't agree with the Beaver reviewer in that the French and HK releases are identical wrt. PQ, though. I owned both (returned the French one for forced subs) and to me it looks a tad softer than the Asian release, albeit with the same color palette and brightness.
The LionsGate is a bit darker; which seems to be in line (?) with what they are doing with their other discs these days (take 'Rounders'; for instance).
Btw., is it just me, or does the new release at least appear to have a slightly softer/mushier look to it than the other two Blu-Ray's (take one of the screencaps at the bottom; for instance where Vincent is holding the needle)
As expected from LionsGate, the release is region A locked. (On a side-note: I truly have come to abhor LionsGate for not only their region locking, but the way the package their discs with all kinds of 'security device' crap and metal stickers inside. Of all the studios they certainly stand out wrt. this junk!)
Not sure if the added extras alone will be worth it for me to get this disc, but it's certainly a good thing it is finally available at long last. Jackie Brown, on the other hand... -
