'24: Season 8' - High-Def Digest Review
Aaron Peck, HDD's resident '24' expert, has reviewed '24: Season 8.' He says these season was a hoot. If you have drinking games for this final run, please share them. This Blu-ray features crumby video (Fox squished the season onto only 4 discs this time, perhaps that's why they didn't send us a review copy!) Audio is fantastic. Extras are embarrassingly skimpy. Loosen the purse string, Rupert! This is for fans only!

This season was tough, some of it was the worst 24 has ever been, and some of it was possibly the best it has ever been.
Spoiler:RIP Kosty you are missed. -

OMG, there was another mole in CTU?
And Katee Sackhoff, poor woman seems to be typecast as an annoying character.
Also, how was Freddy Prinze? Did he keep the promise he made after scooby doo that he wouldn't act anymore? -

You nailed it. The season started out on a really bad foot with one of the worst, most idiotic storylines in the show's history. Then for 3-4 episodes near the end things picked up in a big way, and it seemed like the show might actually redeem itself... until the immensely LAAAAAAME season finale, which was clearly not in any way written to be the series' final episode.
This show should have gone out on a high note after Season 5. Everything afterwards has been crap.Josh Z

I still liked the show after season 5. Like I said, it had become a parody of itself. Plus if you stopped watching after season five you missed Jack Bauer and his vampire bite. LOST BOYS FOREVER!

The review doesn't mention if the spoilers featured in the UK edition are present on the menu screen if choosing to watch episodes individually.
Can you check this out please. -

Couldn't be any more spoilerish than Nina showing up early in the season 2 DVD menus. It felt like they were punishing me for waiting for the DVDs.
RIP Kosty you are missed. -

Season 7 was pretty great, but the show's quality as a whole became very inconsistent after season 5.
