Leslie Nielsen passes away
I remember him as a kid on Disney's THE SWAMP FOX..giving away my age
He gave us so much both dramatically and comically..perhaps his funniest scene was intended to be dramatic..if you still have Ben Hur on DVD go to the extra's and check out his screen test for Juda Ben Hur..absolutely hilarious
we'll miss you..thanks for the laughter you gave us -

Maybe this belongs in the Water Cooler?
Looks like Russell Brand beat me to it and said it best - ""RIP Leslie Nielsen. Shirley, he will be missed." -

At that age fighting pneumonia is not easy, gets a lot of old people. I haven't been this bummed since George Carlin died, love the man and his movies. Naked Gun is one of the 1st movies I remember seeing, it's an absolute classic!
"Frank: It's the same old story. Boy finds girl, boy loses girl, girl finds boy, boy forgets girl, boy remembers girl, girl dies in a tragic blimp accident over the Orange Bowl on New Years Day.
Jane: Good Yeah?
Frank: No, the worst."HT gear: JVC RS46 3D projector with 147in Hi Power screen, Klipsch RF-7 based 9.1 system, Emotiva XPA5 5 channel amp, Pioneer 1120 reciever, Oppo BDP-95(region free), Xbox 360, Toshiba XA2 -

I felt the same about George Carlin. One of my favorite quotes that Carlin said (and I made myself remember it because I got what he was saying with it) was ''Good comedians think the world is funny, great ones dont''.
I remember Nielsen from an episode of 'Bonanza' as a child. It was one of my favorite episodes because he scared the shit out of me when I saw it the first time. He played a sheriff that has a mental breakdown. As a child, I thought he was very convincing, lol. RIP Leslie. My mancave:

Ya.. he's always popping up in my classic shows..Columbo, Rockford.. too bad Police Squad couldn't have stayed on the air - I think it plays better than the movies; 2 hours of that style of humor doesn't really work well imo.

The King is Dead...long live the King!
My dad and I would laugh so hard we would be crying. Airplane and the Naked Gun movies were my favorites.
