If this is really the best of Blu-Ray for 2010 the format has no future.

I don't think this is a weak list, just heavy on films previously available on disc. Scott Pilgrim is the only film that came out in 2010. This list is all about awesome releases (vid, audio, extras) and these discs all excel there.
I guess making a truly epic blu-ray release is "easier" for older movies given the wealth of material they can draw from and lack of "after theatrical run" time constraint. Regardless, a nice list to add to the collection. -

Hmmmm... I don't agree with including Grindhouse on that list-- no Blu-Ray with a DVD audio-track should be included in the best releases of the year, no matter how good the feature itself is. And I've heard that "it's supposed to sound bad" argument, and I don't buy it. You're still talking about taking the original audio and sound design and compressing it down to a 448 kbps Dolby Digital track. You might as well argue that they should have just put the movie in standard 480i resolution because it would look "crappier."
Drew is clearly some kind of Monopoly-esque tycoon who was paid off by Vivendi to put that on his list

Jables, Samurai Seven is one of the best FILMS to come out on Blu-ray, for sure, but it's FAR FAR FAR from the best disc, in terms of A/V quality. if you are to nominate a Kurosawa Blu-ray for 2010, it has to be ol' YOJIMBO. by far one of the best looking CC releases of the year, still it stuns me, and it's been out since March.
Drew's entitled to his opinion, even if some of you or us or them disagree. find me 2 people who think the top BLU-RAYS (not just films) were the exact same, and i'll wonder when they copied each other.Nate Boss

I'm so glad the internet always boils down to "this is lame" or "you're so fucking retarded because you forgot my favorite..." Come on, gents. I know you're better than this. Blanket bagging on the list is disrespectful and I doubt many would be so bold if we were all sitting in a room together.
So here's a new idea. How about taking a couple minutes and simply offering up the titles you think are better? What are the Must Haves TItles Under the Christmas Tree this year, or what's the best Blu-ray(s) you've picked up already?
I know for one I'm excited to check out Bridge on the River Kwai and The Exorcist.
We're all fans here. We're all entitled to our own opinions. So how about we be creative and contribute to a civil discourse rather than adding more negativity. This is supposed a cool place where diff't folks can enjoy Blu-rays.

Ok Palmer, EASY big fella. A little harsh, don't you think? I didn't mean to be disrespectful, and I'm not just some Internet hobo making a mean comment. I visit this website AT LEAST 20 times a day. The reason I do, is I enjoy the great lists. I'm way into blurays, gear, reviews, etc. But today I thought it was pretty lame, that's all..... It seemed like a personal favorite list to me. I don't want to spend time making a contribution, cuz I go to this site to READ. I would LOVE to have a job like this! I would also encourage negative feedback, especially from more than 1 person.....like today. PEACE. Love this website, I'll never stop visiting, keep up the good work :-)

This is a list that really needs to be made by the viewer. Alot of discs have come out this year. Trying to narrow it down to 10 and make everyone happy is impossible. I personally agree with 3 of the titles on this list. I'm not saying the rest is garbage or that Drew is an idiot for not picking my favorites. I'm just saying we all have our own tastes.
I've been coming to this site for over 3 years now. The work that goes into this site has been a God send. I might not agree with every review on this site. But I really appreciate the extra mile these guys go to to break down each title to make sure I know what I'm buying. -
