I saw these listed for pre-order on Play.com last week but forgot to mention it here. I'm interested in all three of the above and the only thing putting me off is the price £24 ($46) is a hefty sum to pay for a movie.

On the plus side, Tartan releases on DVD are usually region-free and if anyone hasn't seen Zwartboek yet, it's brilliant.

Oldboy and Seventh Seal are excellent films too.
DVD: over 2150. BD: About 750. HD DVD: 80ish.
    PS3 Slim (region B), XBox360 with add-on (X2) , Sony BDP-760 (Region B), Sony BDP-350 (Region B), Sony BDP-350 (Region A), Panasonic DMP-BD35 (Multiregion), Limit BDP-M100 (Multiregion), Panasonic DMP-BD-110 (Multiregion).
Currently surviving the credit crunch in the UK.

Will Det sjundet inseglet become the first black and white movie on Blu-ray? Can't think of any other black and white movie on Blu-ray that have been released. Maybe Casablanca will be released before but I guess it will be released in November on Blu-ray.

Both Det sjunde inseglet and Oldboy is on IMDB Top 250 list. Also on the Top 250 list that will be released on Blu-ray this late summer/fall are Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill Vol.1, Kill Bill Vol.2, Platoon and Cinderella Man.

As we say in England, you'll kick yourself when you find out...

The first black and white movie on Blu-ray is Goodnight, and Good Luck.

I'm pretty sure Det sjundet inseglet will be the oldest movie so far released on BD, beating Rio Bravo by two years. If Warner get around to releasing Casablanca or The Adventures of Robin Hood then they will take over (and sell at least one copy to me!).

I hope Tartan have done a little more work on their master of Det sjundet inseglet as the DVD edition was slightly flawed : comparison

Con Air have been reported on this site to have Region A, B and C (Region free) and I can't see why not Crimson Tide and The Rock also should be region free. Disney have said that they will only use region coding on their new releases that are on theaters somewhere.

Fox have lately released region free discs in Europe. Have not heard anything about Ronin but it will be available in Region A or region free from Japan on July 6.

And we won't be seeing Bruce Almighty at all on BD here in the states, since it's a Universal title. I hope that's also region-free, because I'll definitely pick it up if it is.

In just 4 weeks we will know but Disney have not used region coding on their latest catalogue movies and seams to have Con Air and The Rock as region free discs.

Have added Spider-Man 3 - Sony to the list for October 15. It's up on pre-order on Play.com. Sony will most probably announce the title for US too on the same date or earlier. Sony have also said that they will not use region coding on any of their Blu-ray releases in Region B. For Sony only Region A on new titles exists, all other are region free.

Have updated the list with some new movies. Looks like Blu-ray got atleast two new studio to support the format in UK besides Tartan. We recently saw movies from Tartan and now have also Momentum Pictures and Icon Movies started to schedule movies for Blu-ray!

Some movies from Momentum Pictures (not yet scheduled):
    Amelie
    Bowling for Columbine
    Downfall
    Lost in Translation
O Brother, Where art Thou? and many more!
