On a Smallville website called kryptonsite.com, said that according to TVShowsOnDVD.com, the 6th season of Smallville wiil be on both HD formats on the same day the standard def version will be released (9/18/07). Does anyone know if this is true?

I can't link to it, but it's also posted on blu-ray.com. Surprisingly, the Blu-Ray edition will be 4 discs compared to HD-DVD's 5.

I've watched seasons 1-4 and have waited patiently for Season 5 on blu-ray. The studio needs to announce their intentions with Season 5, so I know whether to buy the standard def release to get up to speed for Season 6.

I'm just waiting for Warner to start releasing Supernatural on Blu-ray.. It's the best show on TV!

What a great announcement this is!
All we need now is to find out: 1.) Blu will get seperate encodes that take advantage of 50GB 2.) Season 5 is announced (with new encodes that are better than the shoddy HD DVD ones) 3.) Season 1-4 are announced If I could guess the configuration for the 6 discs, it would be 6/6/5/5, meaning there is 8GB alotted for each episode... I have no doubt though that Warner will just port over the 6GB HD DVD encodes... how shit! |

This very web site says that both, HD DVD and Blu-ray, will be on 4 disc's. Am I missing something?
