Very excited about this.
Only problem - very grainy stock as I remember.

Lionsgate is usually pretty excellent when it comes to keeping grain intact so I think we're safe on that front. I'm happy they're the ones releasing this!
What I want to know, though, is if we're finally going to get to see this in its original aspect ratio instead of seeing it cropped to 2.00:1 yet again. I'm not really expecting it but it would be wonderful news, and I must admit that hearing Coppola is overseeing this instead of Vittorio Storaro gives me hope. Univisium is just not happening, and it's unfair to keep trying to force it on this movie.

The 1979 version is the only one i'm interested in, one of my all time favorite movies ,
The directors cut stinks -

Storaro worked on this new release too and it will be 2.00:1, Coppola doesn't seem to care about the original aspect ratio and seems content to do what the DP asks, shame really but this release will definately not be the original aspect ratio. There is an interview out there in internet land where Storaro talks about working on the release of these movies for blu ray and his wacky 2.00:1 format.
As for keeping the grain intact, i'm sure for such a high profile release that Lionsgate will listen to Coppola and his wishes, if he wishes the grain intact it will be so, if he wants some DNR to lessen it then once again it will be so. -

The Bits is reporting that both cuts will be 2:35, and that the "Hearts of Darkness" doc will be in HD with commentary. That aspect has pushed me over the edge, day one purchase of the Full Disclosure Edition for me.

damn. the 3 Disc FD Edition's art is nice and mysterious, but doesn't seem as "complete" as the 2 Disc one's does (plus the 2 Disc's is one of the best cover arts for any film ever IMO). i hope AMZ got it wrong and swtiched up the arts.

Yeah I DEFINITELY like the 2 disc art better, you can't beat that original one sheet. Its too bad, but I gotta have "Hearts".
