BTW, how can AMC reject the coupons? They are paper credit cards.

Lastly, yes, Insomnia having no action might have something to do with it because nothing was happening at all. An action scene might have spiced it up a notch.
a great film doesn't need action to be great but explain the fog scene and the ending to me. please, oh please do.

Yeah that pissed me off and I've seen the movie. If it's not in the trailer, DO NOT mention it as if it's no big deal. Because that is a major plot point that had not been revealed yet.

Thanks for the movie cash info. The $19.99 price is a wise investment then. The wife and I are planning to see Inception soon and the dough saved is always great.

Thanks for the hairpiece spoiler. I was excited to watch this film again after many years, but now I'm afraid that's all I'll look at.

Seriously, why bring it up? It's like saying, "Hey, I just saw the Lord of the Rings and it was so amazing, but, Gandalf's beard kept moving around, and well, it's all could think about, so...try not to look at his fake beard during the movie!"

    Annoyed.

Are you obsessed now? Like a Christopher Nolan character?

I remember watching this movie, excited for another Nolan movie (after watching and loving Memento). I also remember feeling extremely disappointed.

Perhaps, I'll revisit the movie sometime soon- it HAS been a while.

Default Easter Egg from DVD Missing

It's too bad the hidden egg from the DVD is not on this BD (or is it?). It was kind of cool (doesn't spoil the movie, but some may want to go back to their DVD to find it if they haven't already):

    Spoiler:
During a shoot, an avalanche interrupted filming, and they got footage of it.

Now I want the original (Criterion) version on Blu-ray, too.

You know, the first paragraph of the review gives away what I consider to be a fairly major plot point in Inception. Considering I am yet to see it, I'm somewhat pissed off - I'd managed until now to avoid any more than the trailers.

Ditto...I normally do not actively try to avoid spoilers, but I've recently gotten annoyed with how much trailers give away, so I've been effectively avoiding even the trailers on TV...then read that opening line in this review...WTF?!? Inception has not even been in theaters a week and added nothing to the review other than, "Hey, look, I saw Inception and am now throwing in a plot point to ruin it for you." He really did not need to list each and every obsessed character in every Nolan film...hell, why not just use The Following instead of Inception?

You're right, it doesn't, as Green Mile and Shawshank Redemption don't, but those are fantastic movies. Insomnia was not. I don't remember much about the movie anymore aside from the fact that I kept looking at the clock like every 10 minutes wondering how much longer it had to go.

guess Nolan's exceptional direction didn't provide an intense and thrilling enough experience for you. my advice, watch the movie again.
