No. Your is the first complaint out of the dozens of links that I have posted and others have often posted they want to see screen captures which is the only thing I am interested in myself, not the actual review.

Not that I get the idea that one site has a definitive review of anything, in that case why have forums at all? If that makes me a rebel then so be it.

    Anyways enjoy the screenshots.

acting like a teenage girl trash talker is a lot deeper based in the 12 year old level than questioning a member's actions.

Providing that the review falls within the context of the discussion - no.
Outside of that though is definitely questionable.

I am looking forward to picking up The Maltese Falcon on .
However, for me it will always sit second behind The Big Sleep.

my good man, i'm in the opposite boat. the two films are my two favorite noirs of Classic Cinema (i wonder if Bogie's charisma has something to do with that..) but my pick for #1 is definitely Huston's stellar debut and, it's WAY up there in my very most favorite films. i can't wait until Tuesday. can't wait!! i was on the fence about preordering it or waiting for the price to go down. i can wait for Madre, as good as it is, but i can't wait for Falcon.

On a repeat viewing comparison, I still get more out of The Big Sleep. Superb as the Maltese Falcon is, the former just pips it to the winning post in the Film Noir stakes. Incidentally, I had the fortune to see The Big Sleep in a cinema in London's West End some years ago when it had a theatrical revival. Absolutely superb and that experience in particular has underscored the film for me. Maybe a similar viewing of Falcon might produce a similar experience though...

yeah i see what you mean. i've seen both films twice, with each viewing at almost the same time period and...i felt like i fully embraced each film after the second viewing. so i'll have to do up a few more for each to really, definitively choose but for now, i'd say i'm 85% sure that Falcon is my pick but of course, i dearly love Sleep as well.

Know of it? Sure. Think that it somehow negates posting about sites with screen caputres? No.

Not that is like I a post links for every BD, far from it, only for the small number of catalog titles I am interested in.

I think we should ignore the existence of all other websites that deal with Blu-ray and all hail HDD! To do otherwise would be the equivalent of peeing in HDD's soup.

Has anyone found this movie in actual stores? I've gone to Best Buy, Borders, B&N, Target, and Walmart and none of them have it at all.

unfortunately most stores didn't carry this one.
    it is really sad.
I pre-ordered from amazon because I just had a feeling.
It's really absurd for the studios to complain about catalog sales when the stores are sabotaging them at the same time.
there's just not a lot to say.
both Falcon and Sierra Madre got the brick and mortar shaft. (mad smiley)
