"Legends of Jazz Showcase" Audio Comparison
As I was watching the wonderful "Legends of Jazz Showcase", I switched back and forth between the Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Digital tracks. I have a Panasonic player that decodes TrueHD. I could hear a definite difference between the tracks, but not the difference I expected. The TrueHD track sounded 'flat' compared to the Dolby Digital. There was definitely a little volume increase when switching to the DD track, but the differences I heard went beyond just volume. The treble was much clearer (the cymbals, for example). Would anyone else like to chime in on this disc? Do you hear similar differences or is it just my ears and my equipment?
