Default 'Armageddon' - High-Def Digest Review

Michael Palmer has reviewed 'Armageddon.' He's a big fan of this Bruckheimer/Bay collaboration. This Blu-ray has stellar video and audio, but none of the Criterion Collection extras made the jump to Blu. Still, this is recommended. Fans of big, fast, exploding spectacle must go get this one right away.

I love this popcorn flick. I have it preordered. Can't wait to rock the house.

Blech to this one. Another Michael Bay disaster, and yes, pure cheese.

Sounds like they did some good treatment to the Blu-ray, which is nice, so you can appreciate the technical side of this garbage!
Did the primary buffer panel just fall off my gorram ship for no apparent reason?!

OK, I will try again based on the review and comments...maybe I was just entering that "jaded" era of age, but all I remember of this movie was a slow motion shot of Willis with his scowl, followed by an equally annoying shot of Tyler crying...over and over and over...

Have to admit this is one of the titles I've most wanted on this format. Love this movie.

Shame about the extras but I can't imagine ever watching them again anyway.
One thing they do now, I noticed, is they have these platform wars, like "Xbox is better than Playstation." That's nerdy to me. What the fuck is the matter with you?

This may not be Citizen Kane, but for what it is I have no problem with the 4-star rating. I really like it despite MANY shortcomings...

Its a "feel good movie". It would be much better however if Bennifer wasn't trying to make it a love story.

Where is Ben Affleck's commentary I hear so much about. Guess I'll have to rent the Criterion DVD.

If you like Tombstone, you can get both for $15.99 each on Amazon. Close to your $14.99 price point. Just saying.

same here, i think it's a great, 4/5 star movie as well, and the one of the two that Michael Bay has made (the other being The Rock).
