I think 2012 SUCKS big time! Is that closer to French, English, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Argentinian, or Brazilian? And I ain't talkin' 'bout the video quality here (mostly CGI crap anyway), I'm talkin' 'bout the film itself.
What da ya think?
* By the way, I'm French myself. And I got very good friends from Brazil. So say Hi to them from me, would you?
Thanks.
Bob

I finally got my copy from CH.
I'm surprised HDD gave this a 4/5 for The Movie Itself. IMO it's a 2/5.
What I hate about Ronal Emmerich is that he always tries to be dramatic, like the scenes with the Father Son/Daughter and especially the to Old Friends at the Cruise Ship wasn't necessary. All these fillers never work, this could've been cut down 45 minutes.
This is his best End of the World/Destruction and the BD is Reference, that's why I picked it up. I had Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow on BD but later sold/traded it. Let's see how long this last. LOLSHAOLIN'S FINEST

I'm wondering... Is it truly going to happen?

yikes, i'm surprised you don't know that that's supposed to be a Japanese joke, since it's the Japanese that do not have the L sound in their language (the Chinese do), unless you think that Chinese and Japanese are the same?
*cue that one scene in King of the Hill when Hank asks the Laotian guy if he's Chinese or Japanese
regarding 2012, i thought that scene that showed what happened to Hawai'i was hilarious! -

Even if I did like the movie, the over use of mickey mouse looking CGi and a terribly unnatural teal/green filter used throughout the move made it very disappointing to watch. Glad I only rented it. Just can't understand how some are calling this disc reference quality unless the new standard of reference quality is measured to be a poor looking video game. . Actually thought most of video was substandard and shot too soft. If you want reference quality, have a look at Moonraker and Zulu.
