Mine is just about to ship from Amazon.fr so I should have it in a couple of days, I'll update about the region then. I'm pretty confident there are no forced subs though.

Yeah M6 is one of the only French studios that doesn't used forced subs.

Is the French release better than the UK release? I thought the UK release was mildly cut but I don't really remember....

The version I saw in the cinema was uncut, I asked beforehand. We are pretty reasonable with censored material these days, here in the UK. The majority of cinema releases and home retail releases are uncut.

I'm taking it on good faith that the French one is also uncensored.

I thought it was really short ala The Good, The Bad, The Weird. Possibly animal cruelty again? I don't even remember where I read it so I can't look it up again.

I definitely want to import a copy of this movie I just don't know which one to grab.

I think the UK BD release was postponed until sometime early 2010, which is why I went for the French release now. Mine has shipped yesterday, looking forward to receiving it.

hey i was reading that this bluray is region 2. does anyone know if it will play in a region 1 player (usa)? i want to buy it from the french amazon but i dont want to end up with a disc that doesn't work! please let me know if any of you get it, ASAP! cant wait to see this movie in high def.

According to DVDFR, this French release is region free (like M6 Vidéo releases have usually been).

Needs to be confirmed with the actual disc but I'd think the chances of it being region free are good. I don't think the French are in a habit to censor anything either.

Yeah, the UK version comes out until January of 2010.



I've heard positive/negative reviews. No in between. Some have said it's great, some have said it was garbage.


I'm intrigued, but not in a rush.

I'm expecting to get mine any day now, hasn't shown up yet though. I'll be able to check region lock status easily but not sure how to check for uncut / cut version, as I don't have any reference to compare it to and I've not seen the film. I'm pretty sure the French release will be uncut but not sure how to confirm it. I'll do a BD info scan on it as soon as I get it anyway and that will show the exact runtime at least.

Ok not to be gross but the movie has graphic sex, including full penetration visibility, and extreme genital mutiliation, including the a clitoris that is sliced off with a pair of scissors. Being that that is the worst that is in the movie (more or less) than you can tell whether or not it is "cut". since its french its likely to be uncut (no pun intended) but it might also never get released in the states because of that either.
