and my question is when you are at the main Eureka page where do you find that "OFFERS" tab?
that's what is confusing me.
I don't see it anywhere. -

Ali Baba and The Forty Thieves

Looks as though Eureka have another title of interest coming out very shortly...
What the hell has happened to Fantastic Planet though? I cancelled my Play.com order after the latest date of the 2nd of August went by. I was in Piccadilly Circus yesterday and popped into the HMV there. After acquiring 10
s for £10 and under each, I asked what had happened to Fantastic Planet? According to HMV Eureka have pulled it yet again and they are awaiting a new date...

Amazon.co.uk has Fantastic Planet in stock, so copies are definitely trickling out.

There seems to be no link to the "Offers" area directly from the main site (I searched from the html source code as well) but these direct links seems to work:
http://www.eurekavideo.co.uk/offers/augustoffers.html
http://www.eurekavideo.co.uk/offers/BD.html
Maybe they are not so good at web site design?
I just finished watching Vengeance is Mine and loved it. A great film!
They have the nicest region lock screen on it as well, apologizing for the locking and explaining it was required by the original rights owner and recommending a multi-region player to get by it. -

I just placed an order for The Burmese Harp through Eureka's augustoffers page (August New Releases) and it was very simple by just doing a Paypal payment, presumably they'll just take the shipping address from Paypal info and that was that. No VAT removal as in Amazon UK but no shipping cost so for single disc orders it's a bit cheaper than Amazon UK in my case. Will have to wait and see how the delivery works out.
This page explains their terms and conditions and there seem to be no notices of shipping etc. so I guess will just need to wait for the package to show up (with their free worldwide shipping). There's an e-mail address for communication purposes.

Have to say that their web page system is rather primitive and e.g. going to the terms and conditions from August Offers and then going back using their "Click here to go back" link actually takes the user to obsolete July offers page.
Anyway, the most important thing is that the deliveries work out reliably (and of course that the discs are good). -

I received The Burmese Harp directly from Eureka today, it seems to be indeed faster to order directly from them as Amazon UK has changed the release date of this to 30th of August and they aren't apparently shipping out yet. There were no e-mail communications from Eureka regarding the shipment at all, I just found the package in my mailbox today. I'll certainly order their stuff directly from them from now on.
From the Masters of Cinema series, I have all 4 Japanese movies that Eureka have released. I've been very pleased with all of them, though unfortunately 3 out of 4 were region B locked. Apparently those Japanese studios that own the original rights insist on region locking when they sell the distribution rights.
This one is region B locked, BD-50 (29264 MBytes used). I'll add some more info here soon.

Unfortunately there are some major light reflections on my pic of the front cover...

as far as the "offers" deal, it is indeed a link only made available to people that sign up for the newsletter apparently, so everyone should sign up when they get a chance.
there is no way to access it on the Eureka site proper.
that said, I signed up a while back, and have never gotten an email yet.
the Eureka insider/site owner is very accessible on bd.com and can solve these types of problems, so I'll be letting him know.
I definitely want to get "Metropolis" early, and the newsletter sometimes includes offers to get early shipping when you buy direct from Eureka.
btw: one other bit if news regarding Eureka--I found out recently that they have lost the rights to "Gandahar" unfortunately, so that dvd in the MoC sd collection is now OOP and will not be coming to bd through Eureka.
they still had a few copies of the dvd recently, but they may be gone now.
I got mine off amazon.UK marketplace.
this is only the second MoC title that has gone OOP.
the other was/is "The Savage Innocents"Last edited by Arkadin; 08-25-2010 at 05:09 PM.
