Default Transformers 2 Futureshop Steelbook

Ok this was werid. There were no SB versions of Transformers on the floor and nobody around to talk to at one FS, so I went to another. Again at this one there was none on the floor but i did ask and they said to get them at the front counter. I thought this was odd but went to the counter empty handed but there were two people in front of me with the 2 Disc SE Blu-ray and she was giving them a steel book for free. I quickly went out of line grabbed the 2 Disc SE and sure enough ended up with a empty steel book for free. So I guess now I have an empty Blu case with TS cover art for free. lol!

Anyone else experience this?

BTW...I went to Wal-Mart first to see if they had it there hoping for the IMAX WM exclusive version and they didnt have any on Blu-ray at all. The cardboard display for Snow White was also gone replaced with a DVD only for Transformers. WTF is Wal-Mart doing with their Blu-ray support ???

The IMAX version is only exclusive to the states Walmart sadly. The Transformers 2 cases at my FS were sitting right beside the Blu-ray cases on the front store rack and on the more recent release shelf in the aisle section. Someone's job for the day was to inform people that the had to grab both as the steelbook was empty "they didn't have enough time to put the discs in them" was the reason i got.

Funny... I wonder if it was like that at all the FutureShops?

Ian posted on the forums saying that something happened with the Puralator shipper, and it didn't arrive on time. Only affects BC and I believe some Alberta stores.

The stores will be taking rainchecks today only, and the SteelBook should be there tomorrow or later this week.

I'm assuming you are meaning the FutureShop forums?

This ticks me off! This means everyone is getting one even if they don't want one. The guys in front of me didn't care that they were getting a steelbook and one made a comment that he didnt even know what they were.

With tactics like this, its going to make these special exclusives not so special anymore.

I don't have a camera here at the moment, but it basically looks like the first movie case with a white background and Prime turned facing forward this time.

Someone call the Waaaaaaaaaaaahmbulance.

All I care is if I can get one. The Steelbook doesn't look any less cool on my shelf because someone else has one. I'm not planning to resell mine at an exorbitant price so why would I care if it's rare or not?

Yeah, everyone in Canada. The Steelbook was a separate offering from FS.
