Default Appleseed Blu-ray Steelbook? Amazon Germany 12/18/2009

First post here. Was doing some looking around (i.e. searching like a madman) for some information on the Japanese release of Appleseed, and found a link to Amazon Germany, where on December 18,2009, a possible steelbook (looks like from the picture) Blu-ray release is imminent. Woot!! Bonus is the fact that the languages are:

Japanese (DTS-HD 5.1), German (DTS-HD 5.1), and English (DTS-HD 5.1)!!

Awesome. That's all I have to say. Hope it's the same voice talent from the mainstream DVD release in the states a few years ago, I'm used to those voices. Preordering this today, and ordering my Momitsu region-free player this weekend.

Which Appleseed is it, the original or Ex Machina?

The "DTS-HD" listing could be misleading. Some German Blu-rays will give the German dub DTS-HD Master Audio, while other languages get DTS-HD High Resolution.

Any English subtitles?

Original, or I would have added Ex-Machina to the title.

Honestly, as long as there's an English mix, even if it's just DTS-HD, that's still better than the Japanese version, where I would have to queue up the regular DVD audio to the Blu-ray video...

Appleseed Ex Machina is already out in Germany.

I think the OP is talking about the regular Appleseed release.

EDIT - I think it's an amaray......the blu-banner has an indent at the top around the blu-ray logo and it doesn't have the [] of the spine going on...

I enjoyed the English voice cast on the dvd also. Thanks for finding this one. I have been tempted to buy the Japanese BD that has no English subs or dub, but have held off. Looks like I'll have to buy myself this version for Christmas.
