I thought one of the ST steelbooks was just lettering--which I hated.
I actually like this one--the original poster art.
Is the UK one available through Amazon.uk?

Yeah my fault. The U.K. one is just the giant lettering. And no, you can only get the UK on from Play.com

NO, it's a play.com exclusive, and they don't ship to the US. But you can get a copy through saqibhasan101. I already have a copy reserved, I like the artwork better -

A little pricey at £17.99 / $28.80, but then Amazon has the US BD release priced at $24.49 - that's the one I think is ugly, just lettering with the new James Kirk looking out through the lettering. How much is the Futureshop steelie?

Play.com has the UK exclusive steelbook, as always:

I think it's important to note that the play.com art is currently preliminary - there has not been an official picture put up yet.

You may want to reserve any pre-ordering until you actually see the real thing.

Just sayin.

Don't see where Play.com says the artwork is preliminary, but I did a trade with saquib and it was easier to just go ahead and get this release covered. If the artwork does change, it still can't be any worse than the US artwork.

And I merged the separate Star Trek / Terminator Salvation threads into one FutureShop Exclsuive steelie thread so the main page here in Imports doesn't get so cluttered up.

Will this be thread for a group buy, or somewhere else?

I can't find the link but I think the preview video from play shows a steel with a blu bar.

EDIT: Here's the link - just watch the video at the bottom of the product page.
http://www.play.com/DVD/Blu-ray/4-/9...I/Product.html

Also, I've learned that unless you see the actual artwork (like what future shop is currently doing), very often the steelbook art on the listing is not always the art you are going to get.

The FS Terminator Salvation isn't a steelbook, it's an iron case. Warner's went cheaper and is releasing this (and Harry Potter) as an iron case at FS instead.
