    Default Hero [ES]

Spanish release of Hero from Sony. Hopefully this will be the first release of Hero with a decent PQ and a lossless original soundtrack. Should arrive sometime next week.

I wasn't impressed with the UK release at all. Sold it the day after I bought it.

I still have the horribly noisy Dutch HD DVD version without English subs and a HDTV recording that looks better but with only hardcoded Japanese subs. Would like to buy a good version from somewhere but importing from Spain seems too expensive usually (the shipping part).

Several sites lists English subtitles, hopefully this is correct.

Sounds like a worthy import so far. I look forward to hearing some confirmed specs.

Keep us apprised. If this has lossless Mandarin audio and the superior English subtitle translation (available on countless foreign DVDs), it will be quite a prize.

Got this today, unfortunatly it's very disappointing. There is no improvement in PQ and no lossless audio, it's region B locked... Mandarin audio is DTS@1509kbps.

The back cover incorrectly has the TrueHD and region ABC logos.

Any chance the subs are different from the US release?

Is it the super grainy old transfer or the newer one like on the US Miramax release?

    Two questions:

Does the opening prologue text appear over a black screen, or a map of ancient China?

Does the king say "Our land" or "All under heaven"?

The PQ seems about the same as the earlier versions.

The text appear over a black screen.

The words "all under heaven" is part of that text (not sure if that's what you meant).
