wow, that's embarrassing.
I see now that Jersey is apparently a little island off the coast of France.
sorry to say I have never in my life heard of that place.
I thought indigostarfish meant a company in New Jersey that sent discs to the UK.
Jersey is a tax haven in the UK. They don't have VAT, the same way that some of our states here in the US (like New Hampshire) don't charge sales tax. That's why items shipped from Jersey don't deduct VAT, because they never added it.

Unfortunately, when it comes to DVDs and Blu-rays, Indigo Starfish generally just raises their prices to the same level they would be with VAT. So those importing to the US wind up paying more.

Don't feel bad Arkadin -- I bet most UK residents couldn't even tell you where Jersey is or point it out on a map.

And, if I were a betting man, I'd take odds the IndigoStarfish is "Amazon's Preferred Merchant" because it's a wholly owned subsidiary.

And don't most residents of New Jersey just call it "Jersey"? Except the pronunciation usually sounds more like "Joisey".

I'll be getting all of those except the Godard title which Criterion has already released.
Wish I could know for certain if Criterion is planning a "Breathless" bd.
I have 4 of the first wave so far--
Belle de Jour
Lost Honor of katharina Blum

Ran and
Contempt

They are all awesome films!
hopefully amazon.us will again get some of these in also.
I got 2 of the first wave through them, and it really saved me $$ and effort.

Wow, this collection is magnificent! I will definitely buy more of them, I only have Belle De Jour but was majorly impressed with the PQ.
