No The miniseries is the first disc on the Season 1 collection. Razor is the first disc in Season 4

Never mind. Season 1 includes the miniseries:

Battlestar Galactica - Season 1 BD

My UK Battlestar Galactica set arrived today.

This is what the front looks like; the Cylon is embossed:

This is a side-on view, with another Blu-ray there for comparison purposes:

The set opens at the front and the inside is filled with foam. There are four slots for the series and the top slot has room for the included book (character bios and episode guide):

Each series set is the same size (from the front as a CD) case and features a very tight cardboard slip-cover (the series number is on the back):

The discs are held in these red holders, which are attached at one end:

The set-up for the discs is the same as the US and Australian ones and overall the set is quite nice, although a little bit flimsy, although I guess that is to be expected.

jude,

Is the UK set region free? How about extras? Any HD or all PAL? I actually love that UK packaging!

The discs are exactly the same as the Australian ones FourToedStatue created this topic about, so they are region free and all extras are in SD.

PS3 firmware 3.0 actually sorted the problem of 50hz content not working, but I don't know if the extras would work on a US standalone.

Kinda odd seeing them in red cases rather than blue.

This set is fantastic. I have it, too. Packaging is very well okay with everything fitting into place and easily taken out :-). Content is exactly the same as the US-version.

I would like either of these (AUS or UK) over the US set, however I do not have a PS3. Can someone confirm if the SD extras are PAL?

My BD player plays PAL fine, but only at 50Hz and my TV doesn't know what to do with it.

I love both the UK and US sets, but I'm looking for something that will fit in a regular DVD/Blu-Ray shelf.

So, I ordered the 4 Australian season boxes from Quizic.

Although it wasn't in stock at the time I ordered, they had the best price and shipping for them to the US was less than AU$9

Not sure when I'll receive them, though

Story of my life. I f*cking HATE them... apparently they were designed to make parents more aware of the content of films/games before purchasing them. Ridiculous. Luckily, SOMETIMES, for big collectors sets or limited editions, etc., the ratings logo on the front is a sticker and not imprinted... but that is a rarity sadly.

I just received my set from Quizic.

When you create an account, you get a 5% discount code in your welcome e-mail which you can use immediately.

This is how my order went:

09/19 Ordered, but the items were not in stock (prices reflect the 5% discount and an exchange rate of 0.859 US Dollar per 1 AU Dollar):
- US$60.45 per BSG season
- US$56.64 for the Predator Quadrilogy.
- US$15.71 S&H (less than US$8 if you only order the 4 BSG BDs).
10/13 Received shipping notification
10/26 Received the actual items.

The Amazon pre-order lists BSG Season 1 @ $62.99 for January 5, so I basically payed the same and now I have them all.

True, but prices will come down for those who are patient. I agree with you 100% though. Can't stand the season packaging and want to get the individual seasons in the standard cases. Enjoy your Australian sets. I will eventually get the US ones as they are on sale...

That's true. I just couldn't wait longer.

Let's just say that I made a bad move buying them all during the US pre-order of each of them.

But now, being positive about it, I already have them all.

I bought the set on September, before knowing that they were going to be released here next year.

Word of caution with the UK tin. The other day I received my order, and the tin was dented to all hell. I was able to push back a number of the dents, but it was disappointing that it arrived in that condition.

I'm fairly certain that amazon.co.uk shipped it out that way as it didn't have a mark on the box at all.

These tins are more delicate than steelbooks. I didn't think I'd actually ever be able to say that, btw.
