OK, got the disc today. It is region free and there's a Korean DTS-HD MA 5.1 track and English subtitles.
The disc starts with a 10 second PAL logo, might be a problem on some region A players.
The movie itself is only 1080i (29,970 fps). Some screencaps from the beginning of the movie.

What is with all these Euro imports ending up 1080i?

At least this one is 1080i60 rather than 1080i50 which makes it somewhat better as there's no speedup compared to theatrical framerate and playback is OK with hw that doesn't support 25 fps (assuming the PAL intro can be bypassed). I may pick this up soon but haven't had time to put in an order yet. Very busy times at work.

The move was quite good. I recommend it if you like movies like Dark Water which also is not very scary but more of a drama/mystery.

Sounds good, I'll place an order now (have to check what else France has now that I may want). I do like Dark Water (the original Japanese one) quite a lot, it's very atmospheric and gloomy I've read a few books by the author, Koji Suzuki, as well. Horror movies in the same style are certainly interesting for me. Thanks for the info!

I think there might not be English subs on the French Ils but I figured those must be easy enough to find externally as it's already a couple of years old movie. I'll see how it is when I get it, I assume it's also region locked as it's by Studio Canal. Didn't know about the Noble release but I guess I'll go ahead with the French one as I already ordered it.

There was something weird with the stock status of Cinderella originally, it kept holding my order from shipping for a few days while the estimated shipping date had passed and never got updated. I dropped it from that order, and combined it with Ils for a new 2nd order. Everything else from my original order then shipped without further delay. However, immediately after I dropped Cinderella from the original order, it showed as being back in stock. Its price also dropped in the quite nicely a day after. I'm now hoping it will ship with Ils tomorrow then.
