I've heard that the UK version is region free and includes the correct subtitles... can anybody confirm this?

My secondary TV is in my livingroom and is a 42" Panasonic Viera 1080p plasma screen. I've got a Samsung BD-UP5000 connected to that for all my HD needs. No surround sound there, though.

I'll take lossy with the correct subtitles over lossless with dumbtitles anyday.

And the Nordic release seems to also have Dolby Digital 5.1.

For me the best was the "dumbed" US version cause It was the cheapest version and I speak Swedish.

Yeah I have the Nordic disc - I think it's DTS and not DD but yeah it's lossy.

And certainly no subtitles is the best option, but I'm not inclined to learn Swedish just to watch the film.

I thought the US version was being corrected.
If that's the case why import?

I think Magnolia was lying when they said that. I've been checking occasionally and no new subs so far.
They must have done a re-issue of stock by now.
Anyways the uk version costs too much or i'd buy it.

I think Magnolia did fix the subs on later DVD pressings but new BD pressings may not have been released so far(?).

The Nordic release has a DTS 5.1 track at 768 kbps and a DD 5.0 448 kbps track.
