Question The Big Blue - German Release Audio Problems

Probably covered already ( and I mentioned it in connection with another thread some time ago) But I have The Big Blue (Im Rausch Der Tiefe) on Blu - Web says English DTS 5.1, Box says English DTS 5.1, on screen menu says - Original Soundtrack FRZ/ENG/ITA - Master DTS 5.1 but can't get Any English?

Anyone know how to "unlock" the audio, or if it's just not on there - who do I contact??

Thanks

Moving this to the Imports Sub Forum, where you should get a better response.

What happens when you select that "Original Soundtrack FRZ/ENG/ITA" on the disc menu? Are you still getting German, or French or Italian?

First time you select it it goes to French and defaults to German subtitles.
Seems to be the only choice though, multiple pressed still gets you French, master audio is dubbed German.

I checked Amazon.de, they're listing Französisch (DTS 5.1), Deutsch (DTS 5.1), Italienisch (DTS 5.1), Englisch (DTS 5.1) for audio options. Try pressing the Audio button in your remote to cycle through all the audio track options?

If there's no English audio, then see if you can return it - Optimum is releasing it on blu-ray Sept. 14 in the U.K., that's the release I've been waiting for.

I just checked four German sites for you and this title is not listed with English audio or subtitles on all four. See below:

Cinefact.de
bluray-disc.de
delta-shopping.de
DVD-Palace.de

When ordering from amazon DE, I always use AT LEAST two of the above sites to check for English audio/subtitle before committing to a purchase. If you only use one site, then there is still potential for error. When you use two or more sites to check for specs, then the chances of making a false purchase is lower.

I have ordered a title that was listed once with English audio on Amazon DE but the disk did not have it when it arrived. I emailed their customer service citing an error in description on their website and asked for refund, and they granted it. You should do the same, and since it is an error on their part, I am sure they will grant you a refund. Hope this helps.

EDIT:

Here is the link to email them if you haven't already got it bookmarked.

i think what happened is that the english on the specs is just for the english that is spoken in the new york scene and thats it. so for the big blue it has english, italian and french audio, but on the one track
and yes, it is a stupid way of listing the audio
however there is an english version released in the uk next month
