On the Anime release there are no English dubs (original audio is a mix of Japanese and English) but there are English subs available, including options for just the Japanese parts as well as for the whole movie.

Dreadful movie IMO. Also, it's about time that Hollywood stopped it with the fucking CGI blood. There's a fight in this movie that takes place in the rain and the fake blood looks terrible next to the real water.

I don't think it's actually a hollywood movie. It's littered with British actors pretending to be American (and failing), it fails miserably at looking like the real 1970s and the lead performers are either very limited or have been given nothing to work with.

The CGI is very poor but I could have handled that if the film had developed an emotionally involving core. Instead we get an endless parade of mediocre fight scenes broken up by dialogue so bad it would have been cut out of 'The Phantom Menace'

If you really want to see this, don't. Stick with the anime, it's much better.

I watched this movie last night and it was indeed pretty bad. Really weak CGI and special effects, and editing that took most of the life out from the action. Pretty weak script as well. The original anime version was definitely much better overall.

The film is supposedly taking place in Japan, but it was filmed in China and Argentina etc. and the locations really didn't feel like real Japan, kind of fake in that sense too. Also the English dialogue with Korean and Japanese accents wasn't too smooth, and there were also some little parts in the movie with actual Japanese dialogue, with clearly non-native pronounciation by Gianna / Ji-hyun Jun.

Gianna / Ji-hyun Jun was not bad in the main role overall, she seems quite fitting for the part but doesn't have too much chance to shine with all the problems the movie has.

Wouldn't recommend buying this...
