Damn, that's very impressive!!!!!

$84 U.S. dollars, though.

I'll have to think about this one.

EDIT--Okay, I preordered it at $78.

So did I. I kept telling myself it was the working amp that added to the cost.

Play.com has a better picture of what it looks like here:

Just got this email from Amazon UK.

Unfortunately, the release date for the item(s) listed below was changed by the supplier, and we need to provide you with a new estimated delivery date based on the new release date:

Christopher Guest, et al "This is Spinal Tap - Limited Marshall Amp
Edition (DVD and Blu-ray)" [DVD]
Estimated arrival date: September 15 2009 - September 22 2009

Regardless, I'll still be getting it, and the U.S. version; to hold me over until September.

Yeah I got that too but I got an October date. Probably due to the fact I have 7 other in the order. I'm also picking up that Fast And Furious Limited Edition Box set and a few other things that have not been and most likely won't be announced in the US.

Default This Is Spinal Tap - 25th Anniversary Edition

I had to bump this thread. I just noticed this.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/This-Spinal-...9868162&sr=1-7

I wonder if that's the same BD that will be included with the mini amp?

Here's the specs INCLUDING:

• Fully re-mastered feature
• Audio Commentary by the band
• Menu Commentary by the band
• This Is Spinal Tap: Up to 11: New exclusive documentary featuring fans of Spinal Tap including Ricky Gervais, Eddie Izzard, Kasabian, Rob Brydon, Martin Freeman, Anvil, Justin Lee Collins, Adam Buxton and more.
• "Sprinkle some ****in' fairy dust on it" - interview with Reg Presley from The Troggs.
• 2007 Live Earth - short film and performance
• The Return of Spinal Tap
• Stonehenge Interviews with Nigel
• Over 1 hour of Out-takes
• Original Theatrical Trailers
• Music Videos
• Creative Meeting and Bitch School Video
• TV Spots
• Heavy Metal Memories
• Cheese Roll Trailer
• Flower People Press Conference
• Featurettes

I know the MENU commentary is what I really want; the U.S. version does not have the, but the last release on SD does have them.

I've just done an unscientific comparision between UK & US releases, using the DVDactive review of the UK, and the blu-ray.com review of the US.

As regards quality of the movie, someone else will have to do that. I've just sat comparing the special features listed for each, eliminating those shared by both titles.

Exclusive to US:
Catching up with Marti DiBergi (SD 5.01)
Spinal Tap on Joe Franklin Show (SD 2.01)
3 Commercials (Rock and Rolls) (SD 0.16 each)

Exclusive to UK:
This is Spinal Tap - Up to 11 (SD 43.03) No band input - UK comedians riff on the Tap
Sprinkle Some ***kin' Fairy Dust On It (SD 4.21) Reg Presley of the Troggs
Return of Spinal Tap (SD 57.43) live concert at Royal Albert Hall
Creative Meeting and Bitch School Video (SD 4.33)
6 "pods" (SD 20.52 total)

WOW! A clear win for the UK, provided the PQ & AQ are equal. I personally am holding off until a comparison appears, but hope they are the same so I can take advantage of the stuffed UK edition.

Yes. Optimum locks most of their releases and I would expect this to be the same.
