Upcoming European Blu-Ray Releases

I thought it would be handy to have a thread with the upcoming European Releases. I used Amazon UK, France and Germany Advanced Search functions to come up with the list, so it should have all the releases - but please post for any titles I missed so I can add them. And I don't mean for the list to be Amazon exclusively, as I said it was fairly easy to use the advances search functions on their sites to sort titles by release date. I'll be happy to add releases from other European countries and online retailers. But I would like to keep the list European related as we already have a thread for Canada, and other members are better situated to keep abreast of Asian and Australian releases.

I pretty much eliminated eliminated 'Hollywood' foreign releases of movies available in the U.S. - but per our "What imports are "better" than the US releases" thread, if there is a foreign release of a US movie that has better PQ, AQ or extra features than the US release, I'll add it to the list. I started with July, including a couple of late June releases, going forward, and will update the list as new releases are announced. Any known Region Coding information will included in the listing, but that most likely won't be known until the title is released. For Germany and France, if the Amazon listing include any language/audio information, I've included that. Links are included to the appropriate Amazon site.

I've had to break the list up in two posts due to post limit size. The Amazon.co.UK listings are below; Amazon France & Germany listings are in post #2.

Yeah, hopefully Momentum will do it right. What's the subtitles issue? I searched the Canadian release thread and didn't see anything about it.

Yeah, and The Fall of the Roman Empire that Weinstein also remastered and release as a Meriam Collection (they sure have a thing about using their parent's names on their products ) And Outlander is also Weenerstein. They don't seem to be enthusiastic about releasing on blu-ray in the U.S., but as long as they keep licensing them out to other companies, that's fine with me.

Ah, OK - I found it, a French release that came out April 1. Correct OAR and Region Free, but yeah, forced French subs when on English audio.

For those interested:
"Bronson" is a slightly strange film about Britain's most notorious prisoner, Charles Bronson, who has found fame as a writer. He's sort of the British 'Chopper'. It's an unusual and quite original film, not entirely successful but with a superb performance by Tom Hardy in the title role.

"The Damned United" stars Michael "Frost/Nixon" Sheen as 1970s football manager Brian Clough, who took charge of Englands top team for a turbulent 44 days. It's an excellent movie but won't mean anything to non-UK audiences. Sheen is brilliant.

"Psychoville" is a new 6 part series from 2 of the team behind "The League of Gentlemen" Not really my cup of tea but very similar in tone to their previous work.

"Lesbian Vampire Killers" is an horror comedy which only manages to be horrifically unfunny.

"Awaydays" is film looking at the phenomenon of 1980s football hooliganism in the UK. It's supposedly different in tone from "The Football Factory" and the rubbish "Green Street", but it's struggled to find cinemas to play in, so I haven't seen it.

"In the Loop" is a film version of the cult political sitcom "The Thick of It". I missed this during it's 1 week at my local cinema but it's had decent reviews and will probably be worth seeing.

Well, when I did my advanced search on Amazon France & Germany I did specify English for at least subtitles, thinking most HDD members would only be interested in movies that are 'English friendly' with at least English subtitles - which is probably how I missed Crows Zero. But happy to include any import that is of interest to anyone.

EDIT: Actually, when I tried to add those 2 listings and save the changes, I got an error message saying the maximum post size was 25000 characters and I had 25292 - now I know why your "Import Blu-ray title listings" thread is broken out by country. I guess I'll have to do the same for mine.
