No, all calculations are for 14 discs ordered and we don't have that many yet.

How many so far? Just curious. I know you won't be ordering for awhile anyways.

I'm interested in Dances With Wolves (Der mit dem Wolf tanzt)

I know it's Region B locked, not a problem for me.

Good to hear DWW is a great release, one of my faves. I'm currently using a US model Sharp HP20U as a secondary player, loaded with Sharp Europe firmware which unlocks PAL support & makes it Region B. The Constant Gardner & Stargate Region Bs I got from you and Taken UK Region B from another member all play great on it. And my Panasonic projector couldn't care less if it's being fed PAL or NTSC.

The price of Running Scared has dropped. Who knows what the prices will be once we actually do the group buy. Here's the price with VAT removed

Running Scared [Blu-ray] - Paul Walker
EUR 15,52 - Stückzahl: 1 - Vorbestellbar
Zustand: Neu
Verkauft von: Amazon EU S.a.r.L.
Geschenkoptionen -
Vorbesteller-Preisgarantie

If we do it sooner rather than later I will for sure be in for Running Scared.

I've been debating whether to add DWW, it's one of my favorite movies along with Glory. I'm trying to hold out for the US release and avoid buying too many region B titles since lately I've packed away the BH200 and primarily use the 5K as my dual format player.

Now that's a neat trick!

Here is how you decide:

Do you like the theatrical or the director's cut better? If you like the theatrical wait for the domestic otherwise I'd grab the import

I didn't know the US release is confirmed only for theatrical. This might be the deal breaker to order the import...

For those of you with the German DWW disc, have you compared it to the 2003 US Director's Cut DVD? I'm interested to know if the color timing looks the same. The French disc looks horrible - my DVD looks better in most regards.

No nothing has been confirmed, for all I know it could have seemless branching between the two.

But last info available was Theatrical only, and if you prefer the DC I would be impressed if MGM/Fox was able to trump Kinowelt in terms of PQ. Plus with the import you get 7.1 DTS-HD MA and the domestic will most likely be 5.1 (as always). It's not barebones either, has the Costner commentary and some other random extras.

I had the 2 disc Special Edition DVD, in checking Amazon/imdb.com, it looks like that is 236 minute edition, apparently the same as the German BD, and I liked it alot, the extra footage added to the story. And a US BD release would be through Fox, so Java and BD+ - i.e., slow loading and no resume play. I assume the Kinowelt BD doesn't have any of that?

I have no idea I never owned the DVD. I suggest anyone taking my recommendation try and find more people to talk about the disc. I'm very happy with it but my eyes aren't as good as some out there, and I would hate for someone to be upset with the purchase based on my recommendation.

Cochise - I don't know if the German import does resume play or not. It took me a couple tries to get the disc to load on my BH200 so once I got it playing I just watched it all.

I'll update the rest of the thread later tonight.
