I imagine what that sets is the menu language - UK=English & Optimum logo, Germany=German & Kinowelt logo, France=French & Studio Canal logo.
Yes, sorry -- whatever language you select brings up whatever studio/label holds the rights in that particular region.

Disc is definitely region free (it's listed as A/B on the packaging).

I got mine in today. Like Hardware, the PQ is better than I thought it would be and the DTS-HD Master sound certainly does it justice.
Another very pleasant surprise from Optimum...

I'm edgy regarding having steelbooks delivered through the post, so I'll be skipping down to HMV on monday to pick up Highlander and Bronson.

Alright I've finally taken the plunge and ordered one from the UK Amazon site, I'm a bit nervous about how they will package it. Has anyone ordered a steelbook and had it shipped to the states? If so how did it arrive and were you happy with the packaging? My order has to come all the way to Texas.

No steelbooks, but I've never had anything from the UK come to me like in a Jiffy envelope, etc....

They've always come packed snuggly in a "custom" cardboard box.

Highlander will be the first Steelbook that I've gotten through the mail, but I've placed more then a dozen orders consisting of just DVD's/Blu-rays from Amazon.co.uk in the last year. I've never ever had a problem with the packaging or the condition of the case/discs. They usually use very thick cardboard, so any denting is pretty unlikely unless something serious happens to the package. I should be getting my Steelbook tomorrow or Wednesday along with the two other BR's I ordered. I'll let you know if anything is wrong as far as dents or scratches go. I doubt there'll be a problem though.

FYI, I'm in Canada. It's weird though, AmazonUK has incredibly fast shipping to where I live. 4 weekdays tops. Whereas Amazon.ca takes 6.

I'm in Southern Arizona, and Amazon.co.uk orders get to me in 5-6 weekdays. My order for Highlander dispatched Saturday; I'm sure I'll have it by this weekend. And yeah, always a solid cardboard box wrapping, I'm sure it will arrive safely.

Yeah, I'm in Southern AZ too and it gets here that fast as well.

I wonder what's with that?

I dunno - Amazon UK better service? Royal (British) Mail better service? Maybe a combination of both. Amazon Germany & France certainly take longer. And Amazon.com has been real spotty for me lately. They have shipping centers in Phoenix & Reno NV area, but my last few orders (with free shipping) sat in "preparing to ship" for 3-4 days, shipped out of Kentucky, and took 10 days to get here. More the reason to go with imports.
