I think they use some kind of fairly cheap bulk shipping methods in some HK stores as my packages from Play-Asia often take almost 2 weeks nowadays. I remember I used to get many packages from Hong Kong in 3-4 days regularly back in the day. Anyway, I don't care so much now as long as the shipping is free and disc price is not too bad. I haven't used DDDHouse because my CC never worked there for some reason.

I thought Part 2 was great, and it certainly is a great blu-ray transfer. Yeah, I thought it dragged a bit at the beginning, but knowing the big battle scene was coming up, I was probably a little over anxious for the action to start. And I don't quite get the complaints about the "bad ending" - OK, the ending shot is a bit silly IMO, but the end of the movie fits perfectly.
Well, mine shipped 3/27 and arrived in southern Arizona 4/6, so 10 days was pretty good. You gotta remember that ordering from overseas all packages will go through customs inspection, and every so often things get "stuck". Also, you have to sign for the package, so make sure you don't overlook the "Sorry we missed you" notice your mailman will leave; you have to take it to your P.O. and sign for the package. -

Believe me I've been compulsively looking for slips left at my house.

I just had something delivered from Amazon CA which required signature so I think my mailperson is being good about notifying us. Surprisingly, my Amazon UK and Amazon FR packages never seem to need signature. -

Great looking transfer so far. It was too late to crank it up last night so we watched half of it in our bedroom and settled for the TV speakers sound. Going to blast it once I get home on the living room setup.
I just got mine on Saturday. If you have time, sometimes it's a good idea just to drop by the PO which you usually pick up shipments from to see if they have it. In my case, I actually beat out the post man leaving the slip.Sony Bravia KDL-52XBR4 | Samsung LN52A750

Well nothing today either. I don't have much time to get to the PO during the week but if I don't see it by Thursday I'm going to have to start making inquiries.

My Review without Spoilers
Just watched Part II a little while ago. Now that I've seen both Part I and II on Bluray, here's my take on everything without spoilers. BTW, I bought Part I at HMV on Hankou Street in Hong Kong, imported Part II from Yesasia.com.
It's a real damn shame that what could have been a great film was mucked up by gimmicky editing and overuse of dissolves and closeups. This results in some very strange montages that don't serve any real purpose. So I guess you could say that the editing on this film is a real hack job. I found the musical score to have some nice moments, but too Westernized compared to some of Zhang Yimou's films and Tan Dun's scores.
The watermark logos that plagued Part I are thankfully, not on Part II. I noticed the greenish skintones in Part I have been corrected to a more natural look. And there was none of the garishly bright red blood either.
Overall, I enjoyed the second film more than the first one. There are more politics going on throughout, and more surprising moments. Some of the battle scenes leading into Cao Cao's fortress are pretty spectacular. It's really a shame that what could have been two really great films was butchered in editing. -

Finally got my copy yesterday. Hopefully I'll be able to watch both parts this weekend. Now I just have to decided which audio track to use!

Can someone tell me if the cover for Red Cliff 2 shown on the DDDHouse.com website is the actual one shipped. Here it is below:

That looks horrid. I'd much prefer this one:

I'd like to purchase both of these, along with Ip Man and it seems that DDDHouse is the cheapest all around. -

Mine had the 2nd cover, but I ordered from Play-Asia. I'd think the correct cover for the HK release is the 2nd one in any case.

Thanks to kannisto, SpotInHD, and Monger for your responses. Helps alot. I'm looking at picking up both Red Cliff part 1 and 2, along with Ip Man. never seen any of them. I also Just saw a trailer for Warlords. I now want that one too.
I've never really been a big follower of Asian cinema, aside from Bruce Lee films and a few Jet Li films, but these films look freakin awesome. The fact that Warlords has Jet Li really has me stoked, although I know there are plenty other great Asian actors/actresses.
For those that liked Ip Man, I saw the following link posted showing just who might be cast as a young Bruce Lee for the Ip Man sequel:
