I do my best to keep this thread as up-to-date as possible and if you see some information missing "(Unknown)" please help provide. I count on you, the reader and movie watcher, to help me fill in the missing blanks

Slip Covers
It appears Alliance is re-releasing some of their titles with slip covers. If there is an interest in this I will compile a list of them. Apparently they are exactly the same except the cover art is just holographic.

Here is some more information on some of these Canadian Releases. Most of them are just packaging errors:

1) Sin City

- Back of the cover says English DTS. It is actually English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio

2) Stephen King's The Myst

- The only difference between the Canadian Version and the American Version is the cover art.

3) Hostage

- Video is said to be in 1080i. This is a misprint. It is actually presented in 1080p
- Canadian Version is presented in a 1.78 aspect Ratio, while the U.K. release has the video in its OAR of 2.40.

4) The Constant Gardener

- Back of the case displays that it has a bunch of extras, while it doesn't

5) The Butterfly Effect

- The movie is the Director's Cut, NOT the Theatrical Cut

I watched Cold Mountain last night.
It has an english 5.1 DTS HD-MA track (and also 5.1 English and French dolby tracks; no subtitles).
Video is 1080P MPEG4 with an aspect ratio of 2.35:1
No special features

This was an alright release all around. The movie was pretty good , video was pretty decent most of the time, and audio was nicely done. I'd recommend this release.

I received my copy of "15 Minutes" in the mail today.
It has an english 5.1 DTS HD-MA track (and also 5.1 English and French dolby tracks; no subtitles).
On the back of the box it says that it's 1080i, but my guess would be that it's actually 1080p due to the studio's previous releases (I cannot confirm this though). It's also MPEG4 and has an aspect ratio of 2.35:1
There are no special features.

I enjoyed the movie. A LITTLE on the absurd side, but I still thought it was enjoyable all around. It was a little strange to see Kelsey Grammer outside of his Frasier role, but I still enjoyed his performance in this movie.
Video quality was pretty good; some scenes looked a little dull though.
Audio was pretty good too.

I'd recommend this release.

I ended up renting Slither. It got hit with the DNR bat a lot

I'll be picking up Good Will Hunting on Monday ( pay day is this friday ), so I'll give my comments then.

If you have an account on one Amazon, it automatically carries over to every Amazon.
