Interested if Final Destination 2 and 3 are 1080p and the correct ARs...don't care about special features since I have the DVDs and will simply rip the features on a disc.

Final Destination 2 has an OAR of 1.85:1, so they can't screw the aspect ratio up too badly even if they want to.

Only the third movie was photographed at 2.35:1.

Yeah, FD3 is my fear. Already have 1 so even if a Trilogy comes out I'd be paying the same amount and I'd rather have those 2 titles now.

How's the picture quality? I always found the DVD mildly disappointing in that regard.

I've heard rumors of a buy-back/trade-in program for people who bought the original release but haven't had any real confirmation on that.
As I'm going to wait until the 22nd at least to order Outlander, I was wondering, what is the original OAR on Outlander ? And what does Allience have posted as the OAR on the blu ray ?

The OAR is 2.40:1, the Alliance release is 1.78:1 1080p.

i did 2 more reviews on the canadian titles:

http://project-blu.com/reviews/roundersca.html
http://project-blu.com/reviews/gosfordimport.html

i have FOUR more coming, plus one in hand still to do. i completed the FD trilogy as well, as i'd rather not wait, even though the 2nd and 3rd entries are progressively worse

it has to be said: WTF is up w/ that price on Hannibal Rising? jeezus, may as well import the German version for a few bucks more to avoid Alliance.

Also....any word on if the Canadian copy of Blindness ever actually got released or no?

I finally nabbed an HD DVD import of Hannibal Rising. I thought this was coming out by MGM in September here?

Blindess in Canada does not exist.

Nah, Hannibal Rising is Weinstein. MGM has and is releasing Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, and Manhunter. Uni has the remaining one, Red Dragon, which they have released in region B on blu already. Waiting for a Fall release date for that one here.
