I've seen the movie about 5-10 times already anyway so I know the story fairly well. I expect to be able to enjoy it even without any English options but I will probably add English subs to it myself. For me the visuals and music make the movie great and those should work even without English.

It's quite weak from Eagle to have dropped the English audio though, especially since it was included in the specs they announced to shops.

It's not sounding like a promising release (audio tracks being dropped at the last minute), but hopefully I am wrong since it will probably be the same master used for future releases. I agree that it still will be a very eerie, creepy film with just the visuals and music, BUT I've only seen the movie twice so I will wait (probably forever with Weinstein owning rights) for the Region A release. Still on my top 5 wish list!

I just got home from work and got my bullshit email from DVDland!! I'm freakin pissed!! Yea i've seen the movie a dozens times also, but I want to watch it in English. I just cancelled my order!! This sucks, as I was so looking foward to watching this release on !!

Kannisto lets us know how the transfer is anyways..................I almost was going to still keep my order, but I gotta draw the line somewhere. Buying 's of films in which they speak a language I don't understand is where I say no!!

Yeah, I'll let everyone know how it is when I get it, but I guess it'll be at least one week from now.

I got the shipment notice from DVDLand. It's good that they handled the shipping pretty fast after my confirmation e-mail. Now I just have to wait a week or so to get it.

Their product page now indicates that Suspiria has Italian DTS-HD MA audio + Italian subs.

Just got a 720p rip of this dropped in my lap, transcoding subs into it now. Will watch and report back later tonight or in the morning.

Ok kids, I just finished it. And I got good news and bad news.

Both the article linked to AND the trailer link posted ARE what the transfer looks like.

Now the good, Suspiria is STUNNING. Colors really pop, and all sorts of detail shines through that I never noticed before. There were several scenes that the clarity and color literally made my jaw drop. The sound mix is awesome as well, it really uses all the speakers to immerse you in the scene. Absolutely NO complains in that regard.

>Sigh<, and now the bad. Some scenes are blurry as hell, and it's wildly inconsistent as to why, based on what we are seeing in the rest of the film. And the harsh yellowing? Yeah, it's as bad as it looks. The first time was only for a second, and I thought I could live with that, then it got worse...a lot worse. Poor Suzy almost vanishes it gets so bad.

As a matter of fact, the whole thing almost had me in tears I was so happy, until the end, and they just kept screwing up from there. The yellowing, the "redding" up of the very end. This had to be a conscious decision, but really I don't understand why.

IF this was released in the US with an English track, i would probably still buy it. What was good, was DAMN good. But man, the poor ending....
