Is it cheaper to get the [REC] import through amazon, [REC], then to import from where ever plus shipping?
Also does anyone know if this has English subs/Region?

Its Region B and should be locked.

Here is the only Region A version (its Japanese Version) however it does not include any English subs or SDH option.

Then what's the one that they have up on Amazon? I think the Scandinavian is region-free though..

The comparison is for the Spanish disc. The site lists 101 DISTRIBUTION as the company releasing it but the photo shows NOBEL ENTERTAINMENT so who knows?!?

Keep us posted (it has English subs and can be played on a PS3 US I'm all over it)!

The problem with these imports through Amazon, it seems that they only order a few and then they discontinue them.

any foreign language release for sale on amazon US should be region free with English subs.
they don't sell locked titles.
let us know.
if this one doesn't have English subs it would be a first as far as I know for US amazon.
I have never known this title to have English subs yet so this is curious.

Well they give me a shipping date of Feb 3rd-11th. So it's just a wait and see. I'll report back.

Yeah, the Nordic import of [REC] should definitely be without English subs and 1080i / 25 fps but it may be region free. Maybe Amazon has made a mistake by making it available or maybe they don't check other compatibility issues besides region freedom... Or maybe they got wrong info about the specs from somewhere.

I have the French and Japanese releases of [REC] myself. Unfortunately the French was 1080i / 25 fps and the Japanese is 1080i / 30 fps. Neither has English subs but I added them myself before watching it.
