I got myself the UK Blu-Ray of Terminator 2 Skynet Edition by Optimum cause it supposedly had better PQ than the US one and was playable on a Region A player. Wrong! It's Region B locked!
Is there a specific UK (Or elsewhere) Blu-Ray of T2 that has better PQ than the US one and IS playable on a Region A player, for certain?

The Japanese 2.0 version of T2 is the best and is Region A. Unfortunately it is very expensive.

Thanks again Jester!

Is the PQ of the UK bare-bones from Optimum better than the American bare-bones one? -

The first UK release is better than the first US release. However I think (but I'm not sure) that the Skynet Edition is the same globally. So the second US release may well be the best release for cost/quality equalization.

We should definitely add the 'The Girl' movies onto the list. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo AU = Swedish DTS HD MA. All other countries = lossy audio (Dolby Digital). The Girl Who Played With Fire AU+UK are both Swedish DTS HD MA while everywhere else is DD.

Lebanon UK release has a director's commentary track. The US release does not have it.

Good question. On a related note I have been reading that the Brotherhood of the Wolf German release has a much longer Director's Cut than the theatrical edition on the French release that I own. It also looks like the new Warner Blu Line French release of Mr & Mrs Smith might be the M6 cut but not sure. The cover art (where they are standing further apart) looks the same as the old M6 release I have and it has the M6 logo on the front.
Some killer deals on my FS/FT thread, price negotiable

There is a better and more updated list on bluray.com but can't paste it here. Itīs in the Blu-ray Forum > Blu-ray Movies > Blu-ray Movies - North America and thread name is List of International BDs with Better PQ, AQ, and/or More Extras

According to the german case it contains both cuts but I heard french is still the best. There are a few different versions and the real directors cut is only on the french disc as I understand it.
