Sorry! I've only seen the Japanese Ultraviolet.

It has an odd plastic skin look, but I guess that's how it was intended to be (like a comic book).

I bought it because it's an extended version, but I don't know what are the differences between them:

JP (Sony) - 1080p MPEG-2 Encode, English PCM 5.1, Director's Cut (94m)
US (Sony) - 1080p MPEG-2 Encode, English PCM 5.1, Theatrical Version (87m)

So, I bought the Japanese U-571 BD and during the German dialog it has no English Subs (only Japanese)... I know, I know! It's my fault. I either should have known better or learned German before watching it.

Now, the US release and I'm guessing the French too are DNR'd (Thunderbirds are Go!).

So, I'm running out of options.

Can someone recommended the U-571's EiV UK release?

Probably worse than the domestic and almost certainly worse than the Japanese import.
