I wonder how that Yatterman is, the storyline seems a bit different from what I'm usually interested in Not sure if I'll go for it yet. Miike as a director is interesting but this seems a bit more family-friendly stuff than some of his outings.

Been quite busy at work this week so not much time to spend in the forum right now...

Waiting for some of my Swedish and Finnish orders to ship. Seems that Megastore is not getting much supply of the stuff I ordered as I've been waiting a while already...

- Kielletty Hedelmä from Finland, the 3rd proper Finnish film to be released on BD after Ganes and Joulutarina
- Boy A from Megastore Sweden
- I taket lyser stjärnorna & Maria Larssons Eviga Ögonblick from Megastore Sweden

Think I might like the Yatterman movie quite a bit, I seem to like his less extreme/violent movies better...

Interested to hear what you think about those Nordic movies. I'm thinking of getting The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo later. Boy A looks interesting and thankfully it's 1080/24p according to the cover, quite rare for a Norble Ent. release. Appears to be Region B locked though. The Hunger and Mammoth are also interesting Nordic releases.

I'm certainly interested in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo also but it seems the Swedish release will only have Swedish audio & subs. If external subs are available it would be an easy choice. I'll have to look into Mammoth also.

I think Noble Ent. might be now consistently releasing 1080/24p discs as their recent releases suggest that. Ben X was like that and I think Red Baron as well. The releases are pretty decent quality as long as the framerate is done right. Anyway, I can now convert 50i to 24p (23.976p) on my PC quite well so I'm not too worried about getting 50i discs anymore, but it's time consuming to do the conversion.

Seens like ImageShack site has been hacked and a lot of images show up now as a statement from "Anti-sec Movement". I've been using ImageShack all the time for my pics...

I hope ImageShack will fix the problem soon.

Sorry, I don't have any knowledge about that one. The main region code site doesn't seem to list it and I don't have it. Since it's an UFA release it might be free but it's best for someone who has it to confirm with the actual discs.

This was the first disc that had some problems when playing on my Panasonic BD10. There is no sound and the player sometimes locks up during loading. Fortunatly it seems to work fine on my BD30.

I watched this last night with external subs (had to piece them together from 2 separate files but translation quality was fine). I agree with your evaluation, not that great but it was OK'ish. It was a bit stereotypical and the acting was kind of stiff. A bit too much like a clone of Hollywood natural disaster movies. The over-melodramatic slow-motion scenes towards the end were unintentionally funny. Anyway, I stayed awake through the whole movie so it wasn't all that bad I enjoyed recognizing various Tokyo locations and indeed PQ / AQ were fine.

Finally got a shipping notice for "Boy A" from Megstore, looking forward to receiving it

Watched the UK release of "Flame and Citron" last night. Good movie, and interesting true story. Love Mads. The release is region free, extras in PAL.

I enjoyed this movie a lot as well, I got the Danish release which is unfortunately encoded in 1080i50. Watched it on my PC back when the Danish release had just come out.

The Promise [DE] is Region B locked, 1080i/25 and it's got a Dolby Digital 2.0 track (224 kbps) - the German dub is DTS-HD MA 5.1... English subtitles.
