Thanks very much for those listings, Ahsoka. They help a lot! I started creating a French list on an Excel sheet first using Amazon France as my main source for identifying releases but they don't have enough information regarding languages and often the studio is not identified either (especially with pre-orders) so I need to do a lot of searching for additional information from elsewhere.

Europa Crop seems to be using region B locks and forced French subtitles with original audio on their releases, at least they did on "The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada" which is their first release I've bought.

Also for anyone planning on importing the Japanese Freedom Box to the U.S. it appears that we are getting the same set (I think?) released on the same day. I only know of one place to grab it (significantly cheaper than importing):

I included the Japanese Freedom Box in the list because I could not find it in Bandai Visual's U.S. store but I could find it in their Japanese store (and other Japanese stores). I think it will probably appear in their U.S. store too at some point. I'll remove the import listing when that happens.

Their U.S. store is:
http://www.dot-anime.us/

Their Japanese store is
http://www.dot-anime.com/

I'm not sure if the U.S. customers will be redirected to the U.S. store when trying to access their Japanese one...

First version of French import titles list is up. It's still missing many titles but already 55 are included. Inputs for the list are very welcome.

Happinet will release [REC] in Japan on 28th of November:

http://av.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/20080912/happi.htm

Spanish TrueHD 5.1, Japanese DD 5.1, only Japanese subs. Unfortunately not English friendly but there are expected releases of [REC] e.g. in France and Nordic countries too. Not sure which one is English friendly though. I've got a Finnish release on order but it's been delayed from original release date that was in early August and I'm not sure when it gets released.

Updates to Title lists:

- Added [REC] and more links for Serenity in Japanese list
- Added 8 French titles, and modified Europa Corp and Pathe studio links to point to Fox shop (Fox seems to be involved in distribution and their shop links have good details)

thread continues to look amazing!
regarding the French titles--don't forget poor "la Mome" even though it seems pretty deleted at this point.
also: I know that "Une Americain en Paris" and "Gigi" are coming, and have not been announced by Warner for NA yet.

Thanks Arkadin I haven't forgotten about La Mome, I've been working now in alphabetical order referring to dvdfr.com to find more titles I need to include and I just got some way through B today... An American in Paris is also included in the Japanese list, I'll include it in the French as well as it seems appropriate.

"Vivere e Morire a Los Angeles" / "To live and die in LA" (ITA - MGM -FOX) (15 August 2008)

http://blu-ray.dvd.it/azione/vivere-...io/id-1367876/

Audio: Italian 5.1 DTS, English 5.1 DTS HD , Spanish 5.1 DTS
Subtitles: Italian ; Spanish, Danish, Finnish; Norwegian, Swedish, English
Region: B

The PQ is a bit weak, good colors and details in some scenes, but has some extremely heavy grain in most of scenes and some terrible color banding and black crushing ... You have been warned ... Still a great movie ..
