    The Momentum (UK) release of The Promise is Region Free but it's encoded 1080/50...
    Also it's Dolby Digital 5.1 only.

    Good to know, I was thinking of importing it when I made my previous UK order but the price wasn't really good so I skipped it. Knowing it's 1080i/50 makes it easy to skip it permanently. Might get the HK release at some point though.

    The disc didn't work with AnyDVD HD but my projector shows 1080i/50 for the movie, menus and extras (SD). There are Mandarin and English DD 5.1 tracks @ 448 Kbps and English subtitles. I'm interested to hear about the German Steelbook release but it doesn't seem to be available at Amazon.de at the moment. In any case, the HK version is probably very good in terms of PQ/AQ.

    It seems to be a rather typical Japanese youth drama. The trailer looks quite good, I will pre-order it.

    Seems very interesting. I wonder if external subs are available as the French release won't probably have English subs. If they can be found I'll certainly try to get this one

    I've downloaded a new firmware update for my PS3 (2.76). If you get a chance, can you see if Let the Right One In works now? Doubt it...but who knows.
